Residents in 14 West Virginia Central and Southern counties are encouraged to apply for apprenticeship opportunities with the Charleston JATC of Plumbers & Pipefitters.
Applications are only accepted during specific times of the year. Please contact the Charleston JATC of Plumbers & Pipefitters for application information by calling 304-744-6188. There is a $35.00 application fee at the time of application. All applications will be reviewed once a year. Applicants will be notified of their status via US Postal Mail.

The five year program teaches all aspects of the plumbing and pipefitting trade including pipe welding certification, medical gas certification, blue print reading, plumbing, heating and cooling.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 17 years of age at the time of application, and must be 18 years of age prior to being indentured by the JATC.
Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
Must be physically able to perform the work of the trade.
A drug test will be required.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must score standard level on the TABE test administered by WorkForce WV.
Must reside in one of the following counties: Boone, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Mercer, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Putnam, Raleigh, Roane, Summers or Webster.
A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, high school transcript of grades, high school diploma or Equivalent and scores, DD2-14 Form *if former Military, and valid driver’s license will be requested at the time of application.
