Laborers

West Virginia Laborers’ District Council has three locals across the state- Locals 379 in Morgantown, 1085 in Parkersburg, and 1149 in Wheeling. Their training center is in Mineral Wells, WV.

What is a Laborer?

Laborers are trained to help build infrastructure- from roads, bridges and transit to schools and commercial buildings. They are certified to install rainwater catchment systems and trained to build water and sewer systems. Laborers are also helping to build solar plants, wind farms, natural gas and oil pipelines as well as doing certain maintenance of industrial plants.
